The second spawning from last Monday was a female showa of our own, again we split the eggs into 2 lots, 1/2 we used a male showa from our own from previous breedings and the other 1/2 we used a momotaro gin rin showa male. All eggs from Mondays breedings have now hatched around 150,000 fry from the 200,000 eggs that were set in the 5 ponds in the hatchery.
Over the next couple of weeks the black fry will be separated from the white ones, on sampling around 30% are black so should get the 30,000 we want with spares.
