SHIPPING & DELIVERY

HOLDING koi

We can now offer an overwintering service for fish purchased after November 1st, so any individual koi purchased and paid for in full can be held until 1st of April of the following year at no extra cost. If you would like us to hold your koi for you please add a note to the order or contact us once an order has been placed.

If you wish to collect your fish, or come and view the hundreds we have in stock in our retail area, please visit us at the address below, open at the following times. Please note we need minimum 24 hours notice if you are collecting boxes of fish.  We cannot guarantee to have your fish available if you do not give us this notice.

Your fish will be sent by our trusted overnight Courier, who have provided us with an outstanding service for more than 10 years. We can arrange fish to be with you on the following days: 

 

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. 

 

Delivery time should be before 12 noon however this is not guaranteed.

PLEASE NOTE MAINLAND UK ONLY! 

 

Unfortunately we are unable to deliver live fish to the Isle of Man or Isle of Wight. We are also unable to deliver koi to some parts of England near the lake district and parts of Scotland including Aberdeen, Scottish highlands and other areas. Please contact us before purchasing if you live in Scotland.

arranging your live fish  delivery 

Once we have received your order we will email you to arrange a specified delivery date so that you can arrange for someone to be there to receive the order. Please note our couriers will only deliver live fish to the delivery address provided by the customer. They cannot leave them with a neighbour if no one is in and they cannot leave them safe. If the couriers attempt to deliver and no one is in to receive them the order may be returned to New Forest Koi in which case you may have to pay the delivery charge again to receive the order.

Typical shipping times for live fish orders: 

 - Order received between 12pm Tuesday and 12pm Wednesday - Delivery on Thursday / Friday

- Order received between 12pm Wednesday and 12pm Thursday - Delivery on Friday / Following Wednesday

Order received between 12pm Thursday and 12pm Tuesday - Delivery on following Wednesday / Thursday

- No Wednesday delivery available following a bank holiday Monday.

Please note this is just a rough guide to delivery times and some orders particularly for small koi may take longer to prepare. Koi fry orders from May - July usually take longer to send out and you will be informed of the available delivery days prior to ordering. If you have any requests for a specific delivery date please let us know as soon as possible.

SHIPPING LIVE FISH

Our koi are sent out on an overnight delivery service and will usually be with you within 24 hours of packing. For example if you are expecting a delivery on Wednesday, your koi will be bagged and boxed up on the Tuesday morning, collected by the couriers Tuesday afternoon and then delivered to you on Wednesday morning. The fish will be double bagged, with pure oxygen, and boxed.  We deliberately set low figures as to the maximum numbers of fish in a bag to ensure the minimum possible stress on the fish.  All orders packed with enough oxygen to travel for a minimum of 48 hours.

Once your order has been dispatched you will receive a confirmation email from us with your consignment number. Using your consignment number and postcode you should be able to track the delivery here.

CHANGING YOUR ORDER

Any changes to your order such as changing contact / delivery information, adding some food etc. can be made as long as we have plenty of notice before dispatching your order. We will not be able to make any changes after 1pm the day before your arranged delivery date. 

FOOD ORDERS

Your food will be bagged up and sent in a courier pack by our trusted overnight Courier, who have provided us with an outstanding service for more than 10 years.  

Please note we can arrange food to be with you on the following days:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.

Delivery is usually by 4pm

Typical delivery times for food orders:

-Order received between 1pm Monday - 1pm Tuesday - Delivery on Wednesday 

-Order received between 1pm Tuesday - 1pm Wednesday - Delivery on Thursday

-Order received between 1pm Wednesday - 1pm Thursday - Delivery on Friday 

-Order received between 1pm Thursday - 1pm Monday - Delivery on Tuesday  ( No Tuesday delivery available after bank holidays)

Delivery charges

Delivery charges for live fish start at £30

If you wish to order multiple koi or include any of the food that we stock in addition to Koi, you will only have to pay one delivery charge dependent on the total combined weight of the orders. See our Food page for more information on our koi food.

£5 for up to 1kg

£8 for 1-5kg

£15 for 6-30kg
