August 2010
It has been a very busy season, as you can tell from the lack of updates to the site! Please check with us before making a long journey, as our stocks are now very low! We will soon be getting stuck into our Autumn harvest, so hope to have our shop fully stocked again shortly! Koi fry are no longer available this year.
April 2010
Our fry breeding season is well under way, with the first few spawnings under our belt. We will soon be in a position to offer 2-3 week old fry to our customers. For 6-8 week olds, supply will depend upon temperatures between now and June, as to how fast we can grow the fish. Keep up to date with our breeding on the fry information page.
March 2010
Our retail shop is now open full time, 9.30 till 5, 7 days a week. Hopefully the temperatures will now start rising! We are getting a lot of calls from people who have lost a lot of fish under the ice. If this is your situation, give us a call to see if we can help to restock within your budget. Remember, our fish have been overwintered unheated, and are as conditioned as possible to our climate. This can help in future years should we experience more cold winters like this in the future.
January 5th 2010 Welcome to the start of a new year, and not the best start for a fish farmer! With limited space in our indoor units, many of our stocks are currently iced up outside, and even the fish indoors starting to feel the chill. We are still able to fulfill orders for a variety of sizes, for those of you lucky enough to have heated ponds, or indoor units, though our mail order service is on hold until the weather improves a bit!
Christmas 2009
The end of another year! Before we know it, it will be time to prepare the breeding tunnels as we kick off another spawning season.
We will be back in the office from the 4th of January, so will deal with all enquiries from then. May we take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy Christmas, and we look forward to doing business with you in the New Year!August 6th
Our breeding season is over now, and all our farm ponds have the required number of fry growing on, with some fish from earlier breedings now doing 6". While we do not have all of the varieties we would have liked, the ones we do have are of top quality! Numbers of fry have generally been poorer than previous seasons, and apologise to those who either missed out on being supplied, or did not get the numbers they wished for.
As I write, it is pouring down with rain again! Looks like another summer that will not favour the Koi farmer.
Yesterday we broadcast live on Radio Solent, which was a new experience for Rick and I (Carl). I don't think Chris Moyles will be too worried about his job at the moment though!
Pretty soon the Autumn Harvest will be upon us, and a page will appear on the site dedicated to showing you some of the highlights.
Business has continued to be overwhelming this season, and if we haven't been able to supply you with the fish you want, hopefully you will stay in touch with us through the Autumn to see if we can help you following the harvest.
June 11th
More breedings have been carried out over the last couple of nights, some successful, others not so!! This is well over 30 parent sets we have spawned this Spring. However, numbers of fry for orders is lower than expected. We aim to fulfil all your orders, but they may be a little later than usual. Please bear with us if you are on the waiting list, we are trying our best to grow as many as possible for you. Varieties we have spawned so far this year include: Shiro Utsuri, Showa, Kohaku, Kujaku, Hariwake, Purachina, Shusui, Hi Utsuri, Kin Showa, Doitsu Showa, Sanke, Goromo, Goshiki, Chagoi, Soragoi and Doitsu Kujaku! Hatch rate has been at an all time low this year, but by increasing the number of breedings we do we will soon have enough fish to stock the farm, and you, with fry.
June 5th
Our busy season continues as we strive to fulfill your fry orders as soon as possible. Please bear with us if we haven't contacted you yet, we will get through the list soon! Anyone interested in Koi Fry, of either size, should contact us as soon as possible to ensure they get supplied this year.

Just a quick reminder that we are open every day through the Easter holidays, from 9.30am to 5pm. We look forward to welcoming all of you, especially if you are on holidays down here in the New FOrest area. Remember, we can pack fish to travel for up to two days, so you can take that prize Koi home with you as a momento of your holiday!
We have some good news, our Kujaku spawned yesterday, and so far so good with the egg quality. A tried and trusted girl, we look forward to some little eyes appearing in the next few days! Below are some of the fish harvested for the shop, ready for this weekends Easter customers, 5-10" Koi, including lots of Showa, Sanke, Chagoi, Shusui and Shiro Utsuri!
March 24th
Welcome to our new look website! Please bear with us while we develop it to the monstrous proportions of the old site, but hopefully now the information will be easier to locate! No news is not neccessarily good news at the moment, as we are still having a very slow start to the breeding season.
